Fifth Annual Show Sponsored by ALI Is Oct. 9-10 in Randleman, N.C.
Cortland, NY (June 9, 2015) – The annual Petty’s Garage Car Show presented by the Automotive Lift Institute has expanded. The fifth annual event, Oct. 9-10, 2015, is open to 300 vehicles, an increase of 100 cars. The Petty’s Garage Car Show is held on the historical Petty compound in Level Cross, N.C., where the famous #43 cars (and Richard Petty himself) were born. It’s the only car show that includes free admission to the Richard Petty Museum and offers a VIP cookout at Petty’s home, Reverie Place.
“The Petty’s Garage Car Show is unique in the way it combines the love people have for cool cars with the love they have for the Petty family and racing legacy,” says R.W. “Bob” O’Gorman, ALI president. “We’ve expanded the field this year to let more car owners participate without losing the intimacy we established with the first show five years ago. Fans of all ages really enjoy the opportunity to not only take in a great car show, but to also thoroughly explore the museum and the working speed shop where the Petty’s Garage team builds high-performance Mustangs, Challengers, Chargers and more every day.”
The first 100 people to register vehicles for the show will receive two tickets to an exclusive cookout at 6 p.m. on Oct. 9 at Reverie Place, Richard Petty’s ranch just up the road from Petty’s Garage in Randleman, N.C. At the cookout, guests can park their cars on the Petty lawn for a “show before the show.” The entry fee for the Petty’s Garage Car Show remains just $35 per car. This includes a goody bag, dash plaque, free entry into the Richard Petty Museum, and cookout tickets for the first 100 registrants. The car show is open to all makes and models, with awards given to the top 50 vehicles and specialties.
In addition to the anticipated 300 cars on display, the Petty’s Garage Car Show will feature a DJ, vendors and entertainment for the entire family. Spectator tickets are available at the gate for just $5, and include admission to the show, grounds and museum. Kids ages 10 and under get in free!
Gates are open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, and judging begins at noon. The Richard Petty Museum opens at 9 a.m. The Museum features trophies, cars, memorabilia and more to tell the story of Richard Petty’s unmatched NASCAR career. There’s a special exhibit for the kids, featuring Mr. and Mrs. The King and the Hudson Hornet from the Disney Pixar movie, Cars.
Stop by the ALI display at the show to learn about vehicle lift safety and enter to win Richard Petty Museum gift cards and a limited edition No. 43 scale model. Additional door prizes will be awarded.
The Petty’s Garage Fifth Annual Car Show will be held on at the Level Cross Petty Enterprises Historical Site, 311 Branson Mill Road in Randleman, N.C.
