The Automotive Lift Institute, Inc. (ALI) an ANSI accredited product certification body, hereby makes a public announcement that 202 of its Annual Inspection Labels were stolen when the vehicle of an ALI Certified Lift Inspector that was broken into in Jackson, MS at a Mac Haik Dealership on April 12, 2021. The labels are individually serialized and are intended to be applied to automotive lifts that pass annual lift inspection safety requirements, indicating compliance with recognized American National Standards.
If you have had your lift inspected since April 12, 2021, and it bears an annual inspection label exhibiting one of the serial numbers shown on the list below, the services may not have been performed by an ALI Certified Lift Inspector. The label should be removed and reported to ALI.
If you discover that you have received such an inspection label and wish to determine the validity of the label, please furnish ALI with the name of the inspection provider, the manufacturer model and the serial number of the lift, and the serial number shown on the inspection label.
